Sellisha and Anna met years ago in the UK, working in DEI consulting. They connected through a common, burning ambition to revolutionise how success in DEI, social justice and wellbeing was perceived. They didn't want to be just experts in their field, but to acknowledge they’re on a journey too; continuous learning and exploring their own intersectional healing became integral part of their passion.
When strategic, analytical minds and continuous development is combined with intuitive souls, collaborative growth journey for continuous healing starts.
They came together to share a bit of their genius, their experiences & lessons learned so that their healing can support your healing.
These two seasoned change makers can hold your hand as you embark on an organisational or individual healing journey - as part of a global collective we all can take an active role in creating a culture of care, and a sense that we're all in this together.
So, let's define intersectional healing for you!
Sellisha is a DEI Consultant, activist, and social justice advocate with a lifelong commitment to making the world a better place. Inspired by her own experiences as a working class, mixed-raced girl growing up in a single parent family and witnessing injustice, she's dedicated her career to fostering environments where individuals and organisations can truly thrive.
Her passion for intersectional healing was ignited through personal experiences of workplace discrimination and the impact it had on her mental health. These challenges revealed a crucial gap in traditional support systems, such as Employee Assistance Programmes (EAPs), which often fail to address the nuanced realities of minoritisation. This realisation fuelled her drive to co-found the Intersectional Healing Collective (IHC), where she helps organisations become more progressive and supports minoritised individuals to flourish.
Sellisha began her social justice journey at University and in 2016 she became an activist with the Women’s Equality Party, where she founded and chaired the Party’s Race Equality Caucus and served on its Steering Committee. This experience sharpened her focus on intersectionality, gender, race, disability, and LGBTQ+ rights. Passionate about anti-discrimination, over the past eight years, she's worked on DEI in the UK and Japan, partnering with a variety of organisations to create lasting cultural change and promote equity on both systemic and individual levels.
With over a decade of DEI and culture transformation experience, Anna has worked as a Global Managing Consultant, Head of Product, and Partnerships, and Director in consultancies, tech scale-ups, and non-profits.
Her approach to empowerment is inspired by lived experiences and a deep-seated passion for fostering real, intersectional change. She's led global initiatives for personal and collective transformation, through strategies and programs, rooted in vulnerability and authenticity, and she knows about the burning need for holistic effort.
Anna links social justice goals into equitable change management, inclusive wellbeing and personal development. Their work addresses many nuances such as gender, sexual orientation, race, disability, neurodiversity, age, and social mobility. By fostering dialogue and meaningful connections to bridge gaps between different communities, Anna hopes to inspire collaboration and belonging in global contexts.
She is committed to raising awareness, facilitating meaningful conversations, sharing space and stories, and supporting individuals and organisations in their transformation journeys towards sustainable, positive, social impact.
She is currently working also as Head of Partnerships at Helsinki Pride - Finland's biggest human rights event and an NGO focusing on LGBTQ+ inclusion.
