We see healing as a continuous process of self discovery, an unravelling that provides clarity and opportunity. It's the re-balance in the face of awakening and a course correction. It is a sense of ease and alignment with our most authentic selves, in harmony with society.
Within a society fractured by centuries of systemic oppression, individuals cannot effectively heal unless we as a society focus on repair. We must gain understanding and tools to address the wounds carried by individuals and communities. Intersectional Healing helps embrace both truths; collectively we can do the work to dismantle forms of oppression whilst fostering deep, transformative healing that spans every intersection of identity.
Intersectional Healing highlights systemic leadership. By healing the inner and the outer, the layers and nuances that make up ourselves and the world centers our common humanity.
When we center care and intersectionality at the core, we start healing people and society, eradicating discrimination, and helping us all thrive together.
Drawing from our global expertise in Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB), coaching and healing practices became a natural way to craft innovative cultural change programmes and building a bridge into traditional consulting approach with a gap between organisational equity and individual healing. Through our IHC Model, we saw that programs that nurture cultural healing within organisations and communities, pave the way for unity, harmony, and love across differences.
We are born to a world with systems of oppression built in. It falls on all of us to actively work together to free ourselves from that inheritance and the negative social constructs that came with it. We can look to the pre-colonial past as a place of inspiration and center healing, while exploring radical, liberatory approaches that support individual healing across the intersections of our identities.
At Intersectional Healing Collective we support organisations in reimagining workplaces in a way that benefits everyone and builds a culture of care - for now, and the future.
As the visionary Bell Hooks once said: "Healing is an act of communion." Inspired by this wisdom, we centre connection and collaboration in all that we do, creating spaces where healing and equity can thrive together. This is why we are a collective; we bring people together as one community working towards the same goal of intersectional healing for ourselves, for our organisations and for society.
Together we lead systemic change that prioritises collective care, as the foundation for culture of care.
Compassion, empathy and continuous learning advances social justice.
Our values lead the way in how we show up: they’re our own seeds for change.
